Autumn along the River Aude

Sunday, Nov. 18. we took a gorgeous fall bike ride along the River Aude to our area flea market. So fun to talk to people and choose some special things for our home!

The amazing thing to look at in this photo is what I’m holding – the yoke for a pair of oxen. Something that Jeff and I have never seen, and don’t think we would ever see in the US.
Jeff loved this old axe.
We fell in love with this letterbox and so enjoyed working with the woman who sold it to us – Jeff carried it home on his bike.

Voila! Our treasured letterbox now lives in our entranceway!
